Dog shot in the eye not finding a home
LIVINGSTON - A dog that was left for dead is now finding it hard to find a home.
Last month, someone shot a dog in the eye and left it bleeding in a ditch. It stayed there overnight. The next day someone found the dog.
It spent the next several days in surgery fighting for its life.
But as they days continued, x-rays showed the bullet went in and out cleanly barely missing the dog's brain.
Less than a month later, the dog now named Chester, ironicly short for Winchester, is not your ordinary dog.
"Running into things and running up stairs was our main obstacles big time," Vet worker Charli Evans said. She's foster the dog while it searches for a new home.
But while hearts have poured out for chester finding someone to take him in has turned up empty.
"Everybody saw it and I'm sure they felt really bad for him and at the time they wanted to help out as much as they could but I guess their lives just went on and it's sad to say forgot about it," Evans said.
