Doctor accused of prescribing narcotics for cash
BATON ROUGE - Police and DEA agents arrested a Baton Rouge doctor after they said he prescribed narcotics to patients who didn't need them in exchange for money.
Investigators accused James Hines, 64, of four different counts of drug distribution Tuesday afternoon.
Baton Rouge Police said they received numerous complaints about Hines' actions last year and began investigating in October 2013.
Hines was booked into the parish prison.
