The Baton Rouge Metro Council decided not to postpone a vote on Mayor Kip Holden's bond proposal.
In a split vote, 6 - 6, the amendment to remove the item from the ballot was rejected today. The $900 million package will be on the November 14th ballot in East Baton Rouge Parish.
It includes plans for infrastructure improvements, a parish prison and commercial development along the riverfront, and would be paid for with a new property and sales tax.
