RENO, NEVADA- A man is accused of animal cruelty for dismembering dogs and keeping their heads in a small refrigerator in a motel room.
Jason Brown could face charges stiff enough to send him to prison for 20-years.
Police say he was arrested when a motel maid found the carcass of a decapitated dog in a bathtub of the room Brown was renting.
Police then found four dog heads in the refrigerator along with bloody knives and scissors.
Brown's lawyer says the 24-year-old has "mental health issues" and might require evaluation before he can stand trial.
