Disgraced cop sings against collegues
PHILADELPHIA- A disgraced Philadelphia cop testified against former colleagues and says he stole drug money and planted evidence too many times to count.
Jeffrey Walker says his drug squad targeted white, "college boy.. khaki-pants types" who were "easy to intimidate." He's involved in a federal drug and police corruption investigation.
Other witnesses say the squad stole as much as $80,00 or more during illegal raids that included threats and physical violence. Walker is testifying in hopes of getting a good deal from prosecutors.
He says the police brass looked the other way and valued the drug squad because they made big arrests and that made them look good.
Defense lawyers attacked Walker's credibility citing 160 of his cases were tossed out.
