Disaster declaration extended for Livingston Parish
LIVINGSTON - The parish president said a disaster declaration for Livingston Parish has been extended for another month.
Residents in the lower portion of the parish saw extensive flooding after Hurricane Isaac passed through southern Louisiana.
Parish President Layton Ricks said FEMA is working with parish officials to help address as many residents' needs as possible.
He also said a Disaster Recovery Center in the parish would stay open for an additional six to seven days to help people get information and assistance.
