BAKER - Jetson Center for Youth Director Daron Brown is still on administrative following an escape at the facility earlier this month.

Brown said he was involved in a car chase after receiving a tip about the escaped teens, but police have not confirmed whether it actually happened.

A spokesperson for the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice said the assistant director remains in charge while Brown is out. She also said Brown is a civil service member, and a full investigation will be performed.

State Representative Dalton Honore, D- Baton Rouge, said that answer doesn't sit well with him. Honore represents Jetson and many of the surrounding neighborhoods. He says he met with OJJ officials three weeks ago and was told the investigation would wrap up soon. Now he says he will be looking for answers when the Louisiana House Juvenile Justice Committee meets later this month.
