Detectives seek couple using cloned credit card
BATON ROUGE - Detectives are on the lookout for a couple captured on security camera using a cloned credit card to make purchases at several Capital Area businesses.
Reports indicate the couple used a "cloned" credit card, which is obtained by copying stolen credit card information to bogus cards, to purchase clothing valued at $335.61 from the Academy Sports and Outdoors located at 9650 Airline Highway last month.
The same couple is also suspected to have used the same card to make more purchases at the Albertson's and Marshall's on Airline Highway along with the Nike Outlet store in Gonzales. Investigators say the total dollar value of the cloned credit card purchases was $1,131.88.
