Detectives seek 1 in Highland Rd. convenience store stick-up

BATON ROUGE - Detectives are investigating an armed robbery of a Highland Road gas station that happened Monday night.

Baton Rouge Police say the suspect entered the convenience store, located in the 4000 block of Highland Road, around 8:30 p.m. and approached the front counter with merchandise posing as a customer. As the employee was completing the sale, the man pulled out a silver colored handgun and demanded cash from the register before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery.

Detectives say the man is between 5'8" and 5'10" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket over a white T-shirt, black pants and a black Chicago White Sox baseball cap.
