BATON ROUGE - Detectives asked for the public's help on Wednesday in identifying a woman accused of swindling two people out of $9,000 using stolen debit cards.
Police said the suspect approached two intoxicated individuals in the LSU area and offered them a ride. While giving the victims a lift home, she managed to get a hold of their debit cards and later used the cards to make several unauthorized transactions totaling in excess of $9,000, according to detectives.
Investigators said the woman was last seen driving a white Chevrolet Suburban. Anyone with information on the individual is urged to contact the Financial Crimes Division at (225) 389-3871.
