Detectives look to ID duo behind early morning break-ins
BATON ROUGE - Detectives are investigating a pair of early morning break-ins that they believe were committed by the same two men.
Police say two men broke into a pharmacy in the 200 block of N. Acadian Thruway at around 2:30 a.m. this morning. They smashed the glass front door and stole an undisclosed amount of drugs from the store, according to investigators.
About two hours later, the same subjects hit a convenience store in the 1600 block of Nicholson Drive. Police say they also gained entry to this store by smashing the front door. Once inside, the men encountered an employee who caused the subjects to flee the store without any merchandise.
Detectives believe the men were driving a black compact vehicle while they committed the crimes. There were no reported injuries in connection with the two incidents.
Anyone with information on the identity of the individuals is urged to contact the BRPD Burglary Division at (225) 389-3824.
