DeQuincy man dies after collision with train
DEQUINCY, La. - Authorities say an 81-year-old DeQuincy man was killed in a collision involving a Kansas City Southern train and a pick-up truck.
DeQuincy police say Curtis Sandifer died Wednesday after his pickup was struck at a railroad crossing. Phillips says the vehicle was dragged about a half mile until it stopped.
According to witnesses, the train did blow its horn as it traveled down the tracks.
