LIVINGSTON - The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission recently recognized a Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy's efforts stopping drunk drivers.
The recognized Deputy Nick Locicero on March 5 for having the highest DWI arrest record, with 22 arrests of suspected drunk drivers.
The safety commission provides grants to law enforcement agencies to cover officers and deputies specifically assigned to DWI patrols.
About 100 DWI arrests were made during the time paid for by the grant, which was between Oct. 2011 and Sept. 2012.
