Deputy: Police kill man who fired at officers
NEW HOPE, MN - Authorities say two police officers were wounded in a shooting inside a suburban Minneapolis city building.
Hennepin County Sheriff's Office chief deputy Mike Carlson tells KARE-TV that two officers were being sworn in inside the New Hope City Hall when a man approached and fired shots.
Carlson says two officers were hit and other officers returned fire, killing the man.
The TV station reports the officers are in good condition.
No further details were immediately released.
A spokesman for the sheriff's office did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press.
