Deputy in Arizona found after shootout
A deputy wounded in a shootout with suspected drug smugglers south of Phoenix, Arizona was found after a frantic search in the desert. Authorities say he suffered a graze wound from an AK-47 assault rifle and was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital. Pinal County Sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar says the deputy was doing drug interdiction work when he found bales of marijuana in the desert. Villar says he encountered some suspected illegal immigrants armed with guns and was shot. Now hundreds of lawmen are searching for the smugglers.
