BATON ROUGE- Sheriff's deputies plan to charge the juveniles responsible for a near-riot that shutdown the Mall of Louisiana Saturday night.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office Facebook: "Deputies will be charging the juveniles that they have evidence started the fights."
Deputies are also still at the mall, interviewing those involved.
The chaos started around 6:00 p.m. when people started running for the exits. According to deputies, at least 200 juveniles were in the area.
Investigators believe the large crowd gathered because of a post on social media, possibly about a flash mob- a well-rehearsed event that, to onlookers, appears impromptu.
At some point, a fight began and things got out-of-control. People were forced out of the mall, and ordered to leave the premises.
No injuries have been reported.
