GONZALES - Deputies arrested five people in connection with a triple murder in Ascension Parish, but are still searching for a valuable gold coin collection they're accused of stealing.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley told News 2 deputies had not found the coins taken from a safe in the home of Shirley and Irwin Marchand on Feb. 18.

Wiley said deputies tracked down the four men they believe broke into the home, as well as a fifth person accused of cutting into the safe to get the coins out.  Wiley said all five confessed to their roles in the crime, but they still have not located the coins.

News 2 will have more on what Wiley said the suspects did tell him tonight at 5 and 6 p.m.
