PLAQUEMINE - Deputies said two bodies found in a vehicle that crashed into a Plaquemine sugarcane field this morning were the victims of a shooting.

According the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Department, two men's bodies were found around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 1 south of St. Louis Rd.

They said a motorcycle deputy first noticed the vehicle crashed into the field, and found the bodies at the location.
