DONALDSONVILLE - Investigators asked for the public's help finding a missing Donaldsonville man who disappeared while working on someone's car.

Sheriff's deputies said Edgar Cedotal, 45, was last seen by family members at a store in Assumption Parish on Feb. 14, and a family member spoke to him on Feb. 15 by phone. Since then they've had no contact.

Authorities said Cedotal, a mechanic, was working on a customer's vehicle at the time. It was found later that month abandoned and broken down behind the levee in Darrow.

Family members told investigators Cedotal has gone missing in the past, but never for this long. He has a large scar on the right side of his face as well as several tattoos which include a spade on his chest with "Donna" written in it, a dagger on one of his arms, and a picture of the state of Louisiana on his shoulder with "Ain't No Sunshine".

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to their anonymous tip line.
