Deputies searching for man who robbed Jefferson Hwy. gas station

BATON ROUGE - Deputies are seeking the public’s help to find a man who robbed a Cracker Barrel on Jefferson Highway early Thursday morning.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the man entered the Cracker Barrel at 15421 Jefferson Highway around 2 a.m. Thursday brandishing a pistol and ordered the clerk to give him the money from the register. After getting the money and two packs of cigarettes, the suspect fled on foot.

Deputies described the suspect as between 28-35-years-old with a husky build and about 5’6" and 5’7" tall. The suspect had a black mustache and was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with camouflage bottom.
