BOSSIER PARISH - A few deputies are receiving praise after capturing a loose ferret that had been roaming around a mobile home park this past weekend.

On Sunday, a resident in the town of Houghton contacted authorities to report that a ferret had been hanging around outside of their house.

Nearby deputies stopped by to see what they could do, and eventually captured the furry animal. The ferret was quickly reunited with its rightful owner.
