Deputies: Man caught with bags of synthetic pot
WASHINGTON - The St. Landry Parish Sheriffs Office says a man was arrested with nearly 1,000 bags of synthetic marijuana in his possession.
25-year-old Xavier Bush, Jr. faces charges for possession with intent to distribute.
Deputies say they found garbage bags full of synthetic pot during a search of his car following a traffic stop last month. The bags were sent off to the crime lab to be tested. Officials claim that of the 986 bags seized, two-thirds of them tested positive as a controlled dangerous substance.
According to St. Landry Sheriffs Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena, the bags were "being sold under many names, including King Kong, Atomic Bomb, Klimax, Hello Kitty, Scuby Snax and others."
Bush is currently being held with no bond.
