AMITE - Deputies in Tangipahoa Parish are investigating an armed robbery.

It happened at a home on Highway 445 on Friday, May 25.

Deputies say Gary Bryant, 45, was shot while trying to run from two men who are accused of trying to rob him.

The suspects, described as being between the ages of 25 - 30, then fled the scene in a small white SUV.

Bryant is hospitalized due to the nature of his injuries.
