MONTEGUT - Sheriff’s deputies in Terrebonne Parish are investigating the death of a man who was found dead at a residence in Montegut Thursday morning.

51-year-old Kurt Kenneth Turner was pronounced dead at the scene by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office after attempts by EMS to revive him were unsuccessful.

Turner was recently arrested during the Terrebonne Parish Narcotics Task Force drug roundup on Jan. 13. He was charged with possession of Roxicodone, crystal meth, drug paraphernalia and marijuana along with distribution of a legend drug. He was released that same day after posted bond.

Turner was found inside of his residence, and there were no obvious signs of injuries to his body, according to law enforcement. The cause of death has yet to be determined as toxicology tests are pending.

Anyone with information about the death investigation is urged to contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 876-2500.
