DENHAM SPRINGS - Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to an apartment complex where a person being evicted barricaded themself inside the unit.

It happened this afternoon at the Boardwalk Place Apartments in Denham Springs. The man is armed according to deputies, but does not have a hostage.

Sheriff's deputies and SWAT members are on scene with negotiators at this time. All traffic in and out of the complex has been stopped, and people living around the scene have been evacuated.
