SAINT AMANT - Sheriff's deputies in Ascension Parish asked for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of breaking into and burglarizing several businesses in a Saint Amant strip mall on Saturday night.

Detectives said Eric Glascock, 42, is wanted for three counts of simple burglary and criminal damage to property along with two counts of theft after he developed as a suspect during the investigation of a series of break-ins that happened in the evening hours of Jan. 10.

Glascock is accused of shattering glass fronts doors on three different businesses in the Gator Plaza shopping mall on Highway 431 at Highway 931 and stealing deposit bags with an undisclosed amount of cash inside, according to APSO investigators. Detectives are also looking to connect Glascock to similar business burglaries in Ascension Parish that were executed in the same manner as the Gator Plaza burglaries.

Anyone with information on Glascock is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at (225) 621-4636 or by texting 847411 to APSO's anonymous tip line from any cellular device.
