Deputies freezin' for a reason in Gonzales
GONZALES - Ascension, Livingston and East Baton Rouge sheriff's deputies joined forces to take a dive into some chilly waters Saturday morning at the 7th Annual Polar Plunge.
The teams jumped into the freezing waters at Cabela's in Gonzales all to raise money for athletes in the Louisiana Special Olympics.
Deputies Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and the EBRSO Team say they were thrilled to be a part of the the plunge this year.
Together the teams raised more than $60,000 for the cause.
