Deputies: Couple steals thousands from church
AMITE, La. - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a husband and wife, accused of stealing several thousand dollars from Roseland Baptist Church.
Investigators said Greg and Jamie Lynn Howell stole from the church by forging checks. They were each charged with 62 counts of forgery.
The couple remain in the parish jail with a combined bond of more than $1.2 million.
