LIVINGSTON PARISH - Three teenagers are in custody following a series of burglaries in the Denham Springs area overnight.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office says it received several reports about the suspects entering people's homes between midnight and 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspects fled the scene after deputies tried to flag down their vehicle.

They later crashed the vehicle, which was reported stolen, before heading out on foot.

Deputies eventually caught up with all three suspects, one of whom was armed.

Investigators searched a nearby hotel room where the suspects were staying and found several stolen items, including iPhones, weapons, cash and jewelry.

Hayven Nugent and Kemo Amos, both 17, and an unidentified 16-year-old face charges including aggravated burglary, resisting an officer and felony theft.
