Deputies arrest 18-year-old for Gardere murder
BATON ROUGE - Deputies arrested 18-year-old Trevor Georgetown as the person that shot and killed Franklin Lara in early June.
The 19-year-old died after being shot in the chest inside a pick-up truck near Jade Avenue in Baton Rouge. The killer also shot at another victim.
Deputies say Georgetown told other people he was the one that killed Lara, he also gave the victim's cell phone to someone.
Georgetown is now facing several charges including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and armed robbery.
