LAKELAND - Sheriff’s deputies in Pointe Coupee Parish asked for the public’s help Wednesday evening in gathering information about suspects after they learned 50 self-storage units at the same facility were recently burglarized.

Detectives said they responded to Eagle Rental Storage on Hwy 1, located about two miles north of LA Hwy 190, earlier in the day to find that a large number of the individual climate-controlled units had been accessed.

Deputies have yet to release further information about the items stolen during the burglary as they are still in the process of contacting the owners of the affected units.

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact authorities at (225) 344-7867.
