BATON ROUGE – LSU Police arrested and charged a 60-year-old Denham Springs man with obscenity Friday afternoon.

Michael B. Cupit, 60, put his penis through a hole in a restroom stall on a first floor bathroom in Tureaud Hall and asked another man to perform oral sex on him, according to his arrest warrant.

Detectives say the victim filmed the incident.

Officers responding to the scene found Cupit in the bathroom and placed him under arrest. Police say he admitted to using the hole and asking the victim to perform oral sex.

Cupit was banned from Tureaud Hall in 2011 for a similar incident and knew he should not have been in the building, LSU Police said.

The mayor of Walker, Rick Ramsey, said there is “very little doubt” that this is the same Michael Cupit who is serving as the city's prosecutor, and Cupit will "be suspended from his duties immediately.”

Mayor Ramsey also told News 2 he is disturbed arrest records showed Cupit was banned from a building at LSU five years ago. He said that would have been taken into consideration and would have ultimately made a difference when it came to hiring Cupit.
