Update: State Police are still keeping residents who live near the scene of the chemical fire on Eden Church Road in Denham Springs from their homes.

Officials say they are still hot spots and no one will be allowed to return home until those smoldering areas are contained.

Red Cross is keeping the shelter at Eastside Elementary open at this time.
