Dems want Hearings on Human Growth Hormone
Three Democrat members of Congress want a house committee to hold hearings on why the NFL and the players union can't come to an agreement on testing for human growth hormone. The three sent a letter making the request to the Republican chairman, Rep. Fred Upton of Michigan. The NFL and the players agreed to the testing as part of the new collective bargaining agreement reached in July that ended the team owners lockout of players. The union has delayed the testing, questioning the methods used. Its normally a blood test but the union wants more scientific data to prove the method is reliable.
