Defense rests in Greg Harris murder trial
BATON ROUGE - Attorneys for Greg Harris rested their defense this morning in Baton Rouge district court.
Harris is accused of second-degree murder in the death of his wife, attorney Chiquita Tate, who was found stabbed to death in her office.
Harris did not take the stand in his own defense.
Defense attorney Lewis Unglesby called several other witnesses before resting today, including two of Harris' coworkers who said he could have received scratches and cuts that police documented after the murder while at work, but also admitted they never saw him get injured.
Jurors were sent home after today's testimony, and closing arguments are scheduled to begin Saturday morning.
