Defending national champs start a new season tonight
BLACKSBURG, Va. - Last season Ohio State won its last 13 games to clinch the first true national championship of college football.
The lone loss of the season came in the opening home game for the Buckeyes as they were shocked by visiting Virginia Tech 35-21. The win by the Hokies was the first nonconference opponent victory in Ohio Stadium in 65 games.
Tonight, in Blacksburg, Virginia, the defending champs are looking for revenge as a new season begins. And that new season begins with Ohio State being the first unanimous pre-season No. 1 in the AP poll.
