Walker police are on the scene of a deadly crash on Pendarvis Lane.

According to Police Chief Hunter Grimes, two people were in a car heading west when they hit a tree.

The passenger died at the scene, and the driver was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital.

Chief Grimes says alcohol is not suspected, but an investigation is underway into the crash.
