Deadline extended to have LSU students work around the house
BATON ROUGE- People who would like to apply to have their homes renovated by LSU students have one more week to register for the program called Geaux Big Baton Rouge.
As many as 2,500 LSU students, staff and faculty are expected to volunteer for the event. Projects range from working in yards and painting to cleaning homes and visiting with the elderly.
More than 100 work sites are anticipated for the day in areas of the city including Old South Baton Rouge, Mid-City and North Baton Rouge. The event is set for March 22, 2014.
