Dead but alive
FINDLAY, OHIO- A judge in Ohio ruled a man who was standing in front of him is still legally dead.
Donald Miller disappeared from his home eight years before being declared legally dead in 1994.
He resurfaced and went to court to have the ruling changed.
His former wife opposed the reinstatement of being alive because she says she can't repay the Social Security benefits that she got for her two children after Miller was declared dead. She says he vanished to skip out in paying child support.
The judge who denied Miller's request to be declared alive calls it a "strange, strange situation."
