DDD wants innovate, free parking under interstates
BATON ROUGE- Downtown Development District organizers want a better parking situation under interstate overpasses in the downtown and Old South Baton Rouge areas.
They say they want to create more free parking by utilizing space under the interstates, especially near the planned Water Campus and downtown casino.
Designers released what they'd like to see: five hundred free spaces with clean parking lines, innovative lighting, obvious signs and one day a CATS bus stop.
The DDD said it is the perfect time to discuss such an endeavor since downtown is a hot commodity.
