Dad dies from father-son brawl
BATON ROUGE - A father died in the hospital a week after suffering injuries in a fight with his son.
Baton Rouge Police said 53-year-old Michael Taylor, Sr., died Tuesday night. According to investigators, his son struck him in the head with a blunt object a week earlier during a family brawl on New Year's Day.
Detectives said the son, Michael Taylor II, turned himself in to police the day after his father died. He has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and faces 2nd Degree Murder among other charges.
Police have also arrested three others for their part in the melee. Kimberly, James and Devin Dean all face rioting charges.
