BATON ROUGE- The district attorney plans to seek the death penalty in the case against Devon Terrell Livous. Livous is accused of killing Raolatu Alowonle and shooting her 11-year-old niece in the leg on Ryder Drive in July.

Prosecutors allege that Livous knew opening fire on the two women would cause death or serious injury.

Police said Livous and Alowonle were dating at the time of the attack.
