Crews responding to teens injured after crashing into trees while tubing
MAUREPAS – Emergency crews are responding to reports of a teenager injured after hitting trees while tubing in the Amite River on Friday afternoon, according to first responders.
Officials say the fire department is boating the teen to an address nearby, located in the 13000 block of Weedy's Road, to be treated for their injuries. The extent of their injuries are not known at the time of this post.
A second patient involved in the incident is also being treated for a minor arm injury, first responders say.
