Crews clearing drainage canals across EBR Parish in preparation for heavy rainfall
BATON ROUGE - Public works crews are out in full force in Baton Rouge as Tropical Depression Harvey approaches the gulf coast.
On Wednesday, the city announced that works were cleaning and maintaining drainage canals all throughout East Baton Rouge Parish. Workers are also addressing other maintenance-related needs to aid in planning and preparation work.
Southeast Louisiana is expected to receive heavy rainfall as early as Friday morning, and it will likely continue through the weekend.
