BATON ROUGE- Members of the community turned out to give their final goodbyes for six people killed at the hands of a suspected drunk driver.

Friday thousands attended the Baton rouge funeral for Brenda Gaines, her daughter Denise Gaines Johnson, and Denise's children 15-year-old Willie, 6-year-old Jyron and and 12-year-old Diamond.

They died last week after a head-on crash in East Feliciana Parish.

A friend driving with them, Angela Mosely was also killed. A separate funeral was held for her in Clinton.

According to State Police, 30-year-old Brett Gerald had a blood alcohol content of 0.15 at the time of the crash, nearly twice the legal limit.

But Rev. John Gaines who lost his wife, daughter and three grandchildren in the crash says he's already forgiven Gerald.

Gaines says, "I have no problems no hatred no strife against him. Everything is in God's hands."

The only survivor of the crash- 13-year-old Roderick Johnson Jr., is in a medically-induced coma at a New Orleans hospital.

Gerald is awaiting a bond hearing next week.
