BATON ROUGE – Fire crews and first responders are on the scene of what appears to be a large crash at the corner of Burbank and Siegen.

Numerous fire crews were on the scene, authorities said.  Two vehicles were involved in the crash and one caught on fire, WBRZ learned.  Everyone in the burning car escaped.  There were no major injuries.  

Traffic was seriously impacted by the wreck. The situation caused major gridlock on Burbank, at the bend near where it turns into Siegen. Traffic on Highland Road was also stopped.

The wreck happened at the height of the evening rush Thursday.
