BATON ROUGE - The holiday wasn't immune to traffic troubles; I-10 closed for a portion of the morning after a crash near Ward Creek.

People reported on traffic apps there was a wreck on both the eastbound and westbound lanes.  The westbound wreck was more severe - causing a closure and almost a mile-long traffic jam.

Officials have not provided information on the crash that caused delays.
