Man arrested in connection with Craigslist robbery

BATON ROUGE- A teenager from Baton Rouge is behind bars in connection with four armed robberies, including two people who were trying tried to buy and sell items using the website Craigslist.

17-year-old Rayjaun Martin is charged with four counts of armed robbery. Authorities said on four occasions between Oct. 8 and Dec. 17, Martin either robbed or assisted in the robbery of four people.

Two of the victims had advertised on Craigslist that they were buying or selling iPhones and iPads. One other victim was an acquaintance of Martin's, which the fourth was carjacked while sitting in a parked vehicle.

Martin was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. An investigation into these robberies, as well as others that may be connected, are ongoing. Additional arrests are expected.
