Court papers allege inheritance murder plot
NEW ORLEANS - A 19-year-old allegedly offered an 18-year-old $50,000 to help kill her mother so she could inherit money.
Nicole Boover is being held without bond in New Orleans on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Eighteen-year-old Nathan Andrew Yuhas was booked Wednesday in Baton Rouge as a fugitive.
Louisiana State University police Capt. Cory Lalonde says both are students. He says Boover was arrested in her dormitory room and Yuhas in the student union.
The Times-Picayune says court papers filed to support Yuhas' arrest warrant quote him as telling police Boover wanted to kill her parents for inheritance.
Authorities say Boover allegedly tapped at her mother's door early Monday, raising a handgun when her mother answered. The mother shut the door, but Boover allegedly fired three shots into it.
