Couple arrested in armed robbery of Watson pharmacy
DENHAM SPRINGS - Sheriff's deputies in Livingston Parish said two arrests have been made in connection with the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Watson after detectives received a tip that led them to the suspects.
32-year-old Preston Davis was arrested by Walker Police after a traffic stop on Jan. 9, and LPSO Detectives searched his residence to find evidence related to the crime including clothing worn during the armed robbery, the firearm used to commit the crime and a large quantity of prescription medications that were taken during the armed robbery. Detectives said they also located a white vehicle believed to have been used as the get-away vehicle after the pharmacy was robbed.
Davis is charged with armed robbery with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
Davis' girlfriend, 28-year-old Amber Frith, was also arrested and is accused of helping Davis flee the scene of the crime. She was booked into Livingston Parish Detention Center and charged with principal to armed robbery with a firearm.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
